Corporate and Social Responsibility.
The Cartwright Group’s success is driven by its’ people and every single member of staff it treated with respect, openness and honesty. Discrimination is not tolerated in any form. In order to future-proof the organisation, we support all employees with the guidance, training and opportunities that will benefit the individuals as well as the organisation.
The national skills shortage within the transport sector has long been recognised and embraced by the Cartwright Group, who in response developed an award winning apprenticeship scheme that continues to attract and develop young individuals into future leaders of the business.
It is a Cartwright Group policy to treat customers and suppliers with the same respect and honesty, in order to nurture mutually beneficial, long lasting relationships.
Where possible, Cartwright ensures that the materials used in their manufacturing processes are environmentally sustainable. Reducing the national carbon footprint is something we must all now consider as a part of combating climate change.
One example of how we support the reduction of the national carbon footprint is demonstrated in our range of fully recyclable composite and aluminium panels. Not only are they fully recyclable, they are light-weight to reduce fuel consumption and increase payload.
Environmental responsibility is a key agenda point for Cartwright. At any one time we have a number of initiatives running to minimise the impact on the environment, including energy efficient heating and lighting throughout the production plants and recycling waste materials wherever possible. We work closely with our customers to support their own environmental initiatives and aims.
We continue to invest in new, innovative production processes, examples of this is our low VOC paint system and our state-of-the-art insulated panel production plant. The low VOC paint system provides a massive reduction in the VOC emissions and is both chromate and isocyanate free. The system boasts a true water borne primer with a VOC of 33 grams per litre (legislation requires the VOC of under 540 grams) and a top coat made from organic raw materials with a VOC content of 290 grams per litre. The result of using this new system means that we are able to reduce the VOC emissions during the painting of a trailer chassis by a substantial 55%.
